Das multifunktionale BIRD 4381 ist ein robustes HF Power Messgerät, welches einfache microprozessor-gesteuerte Bedienung ermöglicht und Peak Pulse Power, Peak Envelope Power (LSB/USB/DSB), FM, AM als auch CW Power darstellt. Die Anzeige der Vorwärts- und Rücklauf-Leistung ist in Watt oder dBm wählbar. Berechnet SWR, Rücklaufverlust in dB und % Modulation. Anwendungsbereiche sind 2-Weg-Kommunikation, Flug-Navigationshilfen wie DME, ATC und andere gepulste HF-Systeme wie Telemetrie, Radar, militärische Führungssysteme etc. Die Speicherung der Daten erleichtert das Justieren der Minimum- und Maximum-Signalpegel. Je nach verwendeten Messköpfen (nicht im Lieferumfang - siehe Tabelle 1) ergeben sich Meßbereiche von 100 mW bis 10 kW im Frequenzbereich zwischen 450 kHz und 2.3 GHz. Es werden keine Abschwächer, Richtkoppler oder Umrechnungstabellen benötigt.

The multifunctional Model 4381 is a rugged RF Power Analyst that features easy microprocessor based operation and monitors Peak Pulse Power, Peak Envelope Power, (LSB/USB/DSB), FM, AM as well as CW Power during normal equipment operations in the forward or reflected direction, selectable in watts or dBm. Calculates SWR, return loss in dB and % modulation. Designed for two-way communications, air navigational aids DME, ATC and other pulsed RF systems such as telemetry, radar, commandand control, etc. Stores peak and multi readings to facilitate adjustment of maximum and minimum signal levels. They need no attenuators, directional couplers or charts.
